BIOEFFECT has its own science and development team in Iceland, responsible for maintaining the product line and developing new products. Production of the product line also takes place at the company's headquarters in Kópavogur.
BIOEFFECT products are entirely Icelandic, based on Icelandic innovation. The active ingredients in the skincare line, the growth factors, are produced in barley using plant biotechnology and grown in a greenhouse in Iceland - with EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) being the best-known growth factor.
BIOEFFECT products are available worldwide, online, and in stores in over 20 countries. BIOEFFECT serves Iceland, the United Kingdom, and the United States, while other markets, around 20 in total, are managed in collaboration with distributors.
