About BIOEFFECT

Born out of a true love for science, BIOEFFECT was founded in 2010, by three Icelandic scientists following their innovation of producing a replica of human growth factors in barley, using plant biotechnology. The most prominent of these is EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor)—BIOEFFECT’s signature skin-rejuvenating ingredient.

BIOEFFECT is an award-winning skincare brand from Iceland, renowned for its expertise in growth factor technology. Our mission is to harness the power of biotechnology to restore and maintain the skin’s health and vitality, using only the necessary ingredients—pure, clean, and clinically proven to be effective.

Where to find us

The headquarters of BIOEFFECT in Iceland are located at Víkurhvarf 7 in Kópavogur. With a team of 55 employees, the majority is based in Iceland with additional offices in London and New York. BIOEFFECT has its own science and development team in Iceland, responsible for maintaining the product line and developing new products. Production of the product line also takes place at the company's headquarters in Kópavogur.

We have opened our first flagship store in the Reykjavik city center and will soon be adding more—make sure to visit us if you are in Iceland.
