However, if you plan to incorporate other (non-BIOEFFECT) products into your routine, we recommend applying BIOEFFECT skincare first and waiting a few minutes to let the products absorb before applying other products—including makeup. We highly recommend using BIOEFFECT skincare on dry and clean skin before applying anything else, to ensure the maximum efficacy of our products.

BIOEFFECT products do not contain any of the ingredients found on lists of skincare substances recommended to be avoided during pregnancy. In addition, all ingredients of BIOEFFECT products are legally permitted as cosmetic ingredients as per EU Directive 76/768/EEC.

All BIOEFFECT products have an expiration date printed on the bottom of the packaging along with the lot number.

Most of the main components of our primary and our secondary packaging are recyclable. We strive to constantly improve the sustainability of our packaging materials as new solutions emerge.

Yes. According to EU standards, a product can be called “gluten-free” if the gluten content is below 20 parts per million (ppm). At BIOEFFECT, we conducted testing on all our products using the most sensitive method available, the ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) protocol. With these sensitive techniques, the gluten concentration in all BIOEFFECT products measures between 5,000 – 50,000 times below the EU standards for claiming Gluten Free. In fact, our EGF Serum is 13,000 times below this standard. In 2013 the US FDA concurred with these standards.

We do not use certified organic ingredients and therefore cannot claim that our finished skincare products are certified organic.

We are actively working toward certifications that align with our commitment to high-quality ingredients, clean formulations, and ethical practices. These efforts remain an ongoing priority as we grow and strive to meet the expectations of our valued customers. Currently 85% of our products are ready for the certification process and in 2026 we will reach 100%.

In the development and production of our products, we follow the EU Cosmetics Regulation – Regulation EC 1223/2009. This regulation states the following:

Most of our products are oil-free, except for Volcanic Exfoliator EGF Power Cream. Glycerin has many complex effects on the skin, both direct and indirect. To name a few, glycerin works as a protective agent against skin irritation, it has an antimicrobial effect on the skin, it can enhance the penetration of other active ingredients into the skin, it aids in the wound healing process and increases hydration/moisturization of the skin. To be able to get the maximal benefit from glycerin, the composition of the formulation of the product is critical. Therefore, BIOEFFECT products have the optimum concentration of water in the formulation for glycerin to have a very effective hydrating function.

NAG (N-Acetyl Glucosamine) is a precursor to Hyaluronic Acid, so it is one of the building blocks of Hyaluronic Acid together with D-Glucuronic Acid—an active naturally found in the skin. Therefore, it supports the skin's natural Hyaluronic Acid production.

NAG also reduces production of melanin in the skin, thereby improving hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone.

No. We strive to keep our products as pure as possible, so no fragrances are added to any of our products.

We recommend using it in the morning and evening. It is advisable not to apply makeup or any other products within a few minutes of using BIOEFFECT EGF Serum, as it may interfere with EGF’s efficacy. The serum does not contain any sun protection, so we recommend using sunscreen to protect from harmful UV rays. If you find EGF Serum leaves more of a residue or sticky feeling than you would like during the day, try using less of the product. You could also try our EGF Day Serum which is a lighter formulation with a gel texture.

Our BIOEFFECT EGF works best in a moisture-rich environment. We highly recommend using our cleansing line before applying EGF Serum, as clean skin is most receptive to our serum’s benefits. Once the skin is clean, we recommend the use of EGF Essence before applying BIOEFFECT EGF Serum to maximize the absorption and efficacy of the serum.

EGF Serum is incredibly potent and has excellent spreadability, so only a small amount is required for each application. Apply 2-4 drops of EGF Serum to the face, neck, and décolleté. Afterpay will be notified once your refund is processed. Your payment plan will be automatically adjusted to reflect the new total order value starting with the last payment and working backward. Note that the length of payments will never go beyond six weeks after the purchase date. In the case where a refund amount is larger than 25% of the total order, Afterpay will eliminate the fourth instalment payment and charge the remaining amount to your third payment.
